I Bloom

This project is the visualization of a poem I wrote about my experience as a first generation immigrant. I grew up in Medellin, Colombia ( a city often called “The City of Eternal Spring”), and moved to the United States when I was 11 years old. I live in a state of constant duality; I have two words for every thought. My goal with creating this project was to imitate the experience of a divided life in which you constantly have to make decisions about where to focus your attention and energy. I encourage you to reflect on what feelings and thoughts this experience evoked within you and be aware that this is how immigrants live being not one, but both.
